Caribe Kit is the trading name of CBDM Services B.V., a company registered in Curaçao under Chamber of Commerce number 171565 (“Caribe Kit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit caribekit.com, place an order, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Information?

CBDM Services B.V., trading as Caribe Kit, is responsible for determining how and why personal information is processed through our website and business operations.

Our processing of personal information is primarily governed by the Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens of Curaçao. Where another privacy law applies to a particular visitor or transaction, we will also respect the rights and obligations imposed by that law.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following information:

Contact and business information

  • Company or property name

  • Job title or role

  • Email address

  • Telephone or WhatsApp number

  • Billing and delivery address

  • Information about your hotel, rental property, property portfolio, or organisation

Order information

  • Products and quantities ordered

  • Billing and delivery details

  • Order value and transaction history

  • Payment method and payment status

  • Returns, refunds, exchanges, and customer service information

We do not intend to collect or store complete bank account, credit card, or online banking credentials. These details are processed by the relevant payment provider, financial institution, or card network.

Communications

We collect the information you provide when you submit a contact form, send us an email, contact us through WhatsApp Business, request a quotation or product information, discuss a wholesale or custom-branded amenity programme, or ask for support regarding an order or delivery.

Website and device information

When you visit our website, we and our technology providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring website or campaign, pages and products viewed, cart and checkout interactions, approximate location derived from technical information, and cookie or similar technology identifiers.

Marketing information

If you subscribe to marketing communications, we may collect your email address, subscription and consent status, communication preferences, and information about whether messages were delivered, opened, or clicked.

3. How We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from you; automatically through Shopify, cookies, pixels, and similar technologies; from payment providers when they confirm a payment or refund; from advertising and analytics platforms when you interact with our website or advertisements; and from business contacts or representatives acting for their organisation.

4. Why We Use Personal Information

We may process personal information to:

  • process, fulfil, deliver, return, exchange, or refund orders;

  • answer product, availability, wholesale, and white-label enquiries;

  • provide product guidance and practical support;

  • communicate through email, contact forms, or WhatsApp;

  • confirm and reconcile payments;

  • detect fraud, misuse, or security incidents;

  • operate, secure, analyse, and improve the Shopify store;

  • send consented or otherwise legally permitted marketing;

  • measure website and advertising performance; and

  • comply with accounting, tax, regulatory, and other legal obligations.

We process personal information when this is necessary to perform or prepare a contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business interest that does not override your privacy rights, or when you have given consent.

5. Shopify

Our website and online store are hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information necessary to operate the website, checkout, customer communications, order administration, security, fraud prevention, and related ecommerce functionality.

Information submitted through our website is therefore transmitted to and processed by Shopify and its service providers. Shopify may process information in Curaçao and in other countries, including Canada, the United States, Singapore, and countries where Shopify, its affiliates, or its service providers operate.

6. Payments Through Sentoo

We use Sentoo as a payment service provider for available online payment methods.

When you initiate a payment, Sentoo, your bank, a card network, or another participating payment provider may process information required to authorise and complete the transaction. This may include the payment amount, currency, transaction reference, payment status, and technical information needed for security and fraud prevention.

Caribe Kit generally receives confirmation that a payment has succeeded, failed, been cancelled, or refunded. We do not intend to receive or store your complete online banking credentials or full payment card details.

Sentoo and participating financial institutions may process personal information under their own privacy policies and legal responsibilities. More information is available at:

7. Contact Forms, Email, and WhatsApp Business

Messages submitted through a contact form are processed through our Shopify website and delivered to info@caribekit.com.

If you contact us through WhatsApp Business, we receive your telephone number, profile information made available by you, message content, and any files or other information you choose to send.

WhatsApp and other Meta companies may also process technical, account, usage, and communication information under their own terms and privacy policies. Please do not send sensitive information or payment credentials through WhatsApp or an ordinary email message.

We use WhatsApp primarily to answer enquiries, discuss orders, provide customer service, and coordinate delivery. We will not use a WhatsApp conversation for unrelated promotional messages unless we have an appropriate basis or separate permission to do so.

8. Google Analytics

We intend to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website.

Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, session activity, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, and interactions with website features. Google Analytics uses identifiers, including a first-party cookie commonly called _ga, to distinguish visitors and sessions when analytics consent has been granted.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, payment details, or other directly identifying contact information to Google Analytics. Google Analytics will be configured to respect the choices communicated through our cookie consent system.

9. Meta Pixel

We intend to use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to understand actions visitors take after interacting with an advertisement.

Subject to your cookie choices, the Meta Pixel may process events such as viewing a page or product, adding a product to the cart, beginning checkout, completing a purchase, or interacting with a Meta advertisement. Meta may combine this information with information it already holds under its own privacy policy.

We initially intend to use the standard Shopify data-sharing setting. If we later enable enhanced or maximum data sharing, which may send additional customer identifiers to Meta, we will review and update this Privacy Policy and our consent notice before doing so.

10. Email Marketing

You may choose to subscribe to emails about Caribe Kit products, availability, offers, and company updates. We will record your subscription status and may process delivery, open, and click information to understand whether our communications are useful.

Marketing emails will contain an unsubscribe option. You can also withdraw your permission by contacting info@caribekit.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional messages about orders, payments, deliveries, returns, or enquiries.

We will not treat the placement of an order as automatic permission for unrelated marketing communications.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Shopify store, remember settings, measure website use, and support advertising.

  • Necessary cookies are required for functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, security, fraud prevention, and remembering privacy preferences.

  • Preference cookies remember choices that improve how the website is presented or used.

  • Analytics cookies, subject to your choices, help us understand website visits, navigation, and performance. This category includes Google Analytics.

  • Marketing cookies, subject to your choices, help measure advertising and may be used to show or evaluate relevant advertisements. This category includes the Meta Pixel.

Non-essential analytics and marketing technologies will only be activated in accordance with the choices recorded through our cookie banner and applicable law. Visitors can accept, reject, or adjust non-essential cookie categories through the cookie banner and can change their selection later through the cookie settings link on the website.

12. When We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with Shopify and its providers; Sentoo, participating banks, card networks, and payment providers; Google for consented analytics; Meta for consented advertising measurement; WhatsApp when you communicate through WhatsApp Business; email and communication providers; delivery or logistics providers; professional advisers; public authorities when legally required; and a successor organisation if the business is reorganised, transferred, or sold.

We do not sell or rent customer contact lists. Service providers may only receive information reasonably required for the relevant service. Some providers act on our behalf, while others may have their own legal responsibilities.

13. International Processing

Because we use internationally operating technology providers, personal information may be processed outside Curaçao and outside the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This includes processing by Shopify, Google, Meta, WhatsApp, and their affiliated companies or service providers.

Where appropriate, we rely on provider agreements, data-processing terms, contractual safeguards, security measures, and provider controls. We also limit the information shared to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

14. How Long We Retain Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including completing and administering orders, maintaining accounting and tax records, handling questions or claims, maintaining business relationships, meeting legal obligations, and preventing fraud.

Marketing subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or until it is no longer reasonably needed. We may retain limited information on a suppression list to ensure that an unsubscribe request continues to be respected.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymise it where reasonably possible and subject to legal retention requirements.

15. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or misuse. These measures include using established ecommerce and payment providers, limiting access to customer information, using secured accounts, and reviewing the services through which personal information is processed.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, banking credentials, card details, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email, contact forms, or WhatsApp.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we process information about you; provide access; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; delete or restrict information that is no longer needed or is processed unlawfully; stop direct marketing; consider an objection to processing based on legitimate interests; or record the withdrawal of consent.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place lawfully before consent was withdrawn. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law or necessary for orders, accounting records, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

17. Children

Our products and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. If you believe that a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

18. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for how those third parties collect or use personal information. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, technology, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request new consent.
